FAQs Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions (FAQs)….
I have a well behaved dog. Do you take pets?
I’m afraid we can’t take dogs at the moment as so many people allergic to pet hair. We are dog lovers ourselves and hope in time to be able to introduce ‘dog specific’ vehicles, but can’t at the moment.
We haven't been campervanning or in a motorhome before - can you give us advice?
Yes, we ‘d be delighted to. We have been all over Scotland in our camper van and motorhome, with and without our children, and are always very happy to spend time talking through the practicalities and helping with itineraries before or after you book. We’ve also written a quick check list of things to think about when you’re packing Top tips for preparing for your motorhome holiday.
Can you arrange help with groceries?
We’re happy to accept a grocery order from a supermarket (there’s also a Sainsbury’s two minutes down the road), and can also arrange special orders from our local award winning butcher, who can do easy things to cook in a motorhome, like venison stir fry or great barbecue food.
Are there any additional charges?
Our motorhomes are fully equipped and, unlike many motorhome hire companies, the hire charges include a bike rack, all gas use and insurance for two drivers (subject to driver history). We charge an additional £15 per person for bedlinen and towels, and £5 – £10 for a child seat depending on type. If you want to provide your own linen and towels and just need duvets and pillows, they can be provided free of charge. There is no mileage charge.
Do you arrange bike hire?
We arrange bike hire through our great local bike supplier Loch Leven Cycles. They are a two minute walk away from our base and can supply a range of bikes for adults and children, from £40 per week. Our motorhomes have great quality 4 bike racks fitted as standard.
Can you help me to plan an itinerary?
We can help you put together a plan for your break which is tailor made for you. We know Scotland really well and have loads of advice on great places to go and things to do for a really fun and enjoyable break.
Are you members of the Camping and Caravanning Club? What does that mean?
Yes, we are members, which means all of our customers can use the Privilege Card, kept in the vehicle, which entitles the holder to discount on campsite rates. There are more details on their website.
