Mull of Kintyre and the Isle of Gigha in a motorhome

The Mull of Kintyre is a beautiful and relatively undiscovered part of the Scotland, with lots to do in a motorhome. The photos here were taken in Autumn 2016.There are several options to get there – there’s one option here on Google maps

When you get there, here are some highlights :

Carradale Bay – lovely campsite (although not open late Autumn / Winter). There are great walks in the area and lovely beaches. There were lots of seals in the bay while we were there and some lovely places to park for a picnic.

A day on Gigha – Taking the ferry on foot to Gigha (we took bikes too – our motorhomes have quality bike racks, and we can also arrange for hire – so it’s easy to take them along) is a great way to spend a day. It’s a beautiful little island with easy cycling and a great fish restaurant, The Boathouse

It’s just a few minutes walk from the ferry. There’s also a shop and museum with a cafe for other lunch alternatives.
